Everett is the Center's Director and Curator. With degrees in educational psychology and education administration from Morehead State University, as well as a degree in secondary education from the University of Pikeville, Everett has served the community as both a school teacher and US Army logistics specialist. This is his second appointment as BSHC Director since 2003.

Austin R. Justice
Austin is a volunteer specializing in the Civil War Era and is our webmaster. A Burkhardt Scholar in the History Department, he is an aspiring historian currently studying history and classics at the University of Illinois.
Paul is a seasoned volunteer at the Center. The father of Polly Hopkins - our Inaugural Director for the 2015 reopening, - Paul briefly served as Interim Director. A former coal miner, he also holds a degree in allied health from the University of Kentucky.
Sam is a longstanding volunteer who regularly assists in the Center's administration and social media accounts. With a business degree from the University of Kentucky, Sam heads the Accounting Department at American National University.
